Senior Project Manager

Job Title: Senior Project Manager (PMO/Portfolio)
Location: Harrisburg, PA (Hybrid – 1 day onsite per week). Candidates must live within 1 hour of Harrisburg
Duration: 5 months (possibility of extension)

Job Description:
·        We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager / PMO Project Portfolio Manager to support government-focused initiatives. This role requires strong project management expertise, executive-level stakeholder engagement, and the ability to analyze data and recommend effective business and technical solutions.
·        The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience working in PMO environments, applying PMBOK methodologies, and supporting government or public-sector organizations.

Responsibilities:
·        Lead and manage complex projects within a PMO environment
·        Guide executive-level stakeholders using industry best practices
·        Conduct audits, assessments, and data analysis to identify risks and improvement opportunities
·        Develop and recommend business and technical solutions
·        Provide mentoring and guidance to agency staff and leadership
·        Support project reporting, dashboards, and portfolio visibility
·        Work with ServiceNow for project and portfolio management activities

Required Qualifications:
·        10+ years of Project Management experience
·        Strong experience in data analysis and reporting
·        Strong knowledge of PMBOK-based methodologies (Waterfall or Kanban preferred)
·        Hands-on experience with the ServiceNow platform
·        Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
·        Experience working with government or public-sector clients
·        Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
·        PMP or CAPM certification
