Senior JavaScript Engineer (Node/React) – Remote (Sacramento Travel)

We are looking for a Senior JavaScript Engineer (12+ years exp.) to architect high-scale, cloud-native applications. In this role, you will shape architecture, mentor senior engineers, and drive engineering standards while staying close to the code.

Location: Remote with quarterly travel to Sacramento, CA.

Responsibilities:

• Architect scalable web apps using Node.js & React
• Evaluate technology options & leverage open-source communities
• Create architectural design documentation
• Collaborate with Product, DevOps, and Engineering teams
• Drive performance, scalability, and security improvements

Qualifications:

• 12+ years full-stack development (5+ years JavaScript)
• 3+ years architecting enterprise-scale Node/React solutions
• Strong AWS experience
• Deep knowledge of cloud-native architectures (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Expertise in DevOps, CI/CD, and relational databases
• Excellent communication and stakeholder influence skills
