Senior DevOps Engineer

Job Title: DevOps Engineer (AWS Data Services)

Location: Hybrid – 2–3 days per week onsite at Salesforce office in San Francisco, CA

Rate: $70/hr on C2C

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled DevOps Engineer with strong expertise in AWS Glue, EMR, and Terraform to support data integration, automation, and infrastructure management. This hybrid role requires close collaboration with cross‑functional teams, ensuring seamless deployment and operational excellence in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage ETL pipelines using AWS Glue for large‑scale data processing.
• Build and optimize big data workflows on AWS EMR for analytics and reporting.
• Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform for scalable, secure, and repeatable deployments.
• Collaborate with data engineering and application teams to integrate DevOps best practices.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize cloud infrastructure and data pipelines for performance and cost efficiency.
• Participate in hybrid work setup, engaging onsite with Salesforce teams 2–3 days per week.

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong hands‑on experience with AWS Glue, EMR, and Terraform.
• Solid understanding of DevOps principles, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud infrastructure automation.
• Experience with hybrid cloud environments and enterprise‑scale deployments.
• Excellent problem‑solving, communication, and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Exposure to other AWS services (e.g., S3, Lambda, Redshift).
• Familiarity with monitoring tools (CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana).
• Prior experience in enterprise environments with hybrid work models.
