Job Summary

We are looking for a highly skilled Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) with strong experience in Java and API automation frameworks to join our QA engineering team in Plano, TX. The ideal candidate will be responsible for building robust test automation frameworks, validating APIs and microservices, and ensuring high-quality software delivery across enterprise applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable test automation frameworks using Java.
• Build and execute API automation test suites for REST/SOAP services.
• Develop automated tests for backend services, microservices, and integrations.
• Work closely with developers, DevOps, and product teams in an Agile environment.
• Participate in requirement analysis, test planning, and test case design.
• Integrate automation suites with CI/CD pipelines for continuous testing.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing.
• Identify defects, track issues, and work with development teams for resolution.
• Ensure best practices in automation, coding standards, and test coverage.
• Support performance and reliability testing initiatives where needed.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 6+ years of experience in QA Automation/SDET roles.
• Strong programming experience in Java.
• Hands-on experience in API automation testing (REST/SOAP).
• Experience with tools like Rest Assured, Postman, Karate, or similar frameworks.
• Strong knowledge of TestNG/JUnit, Maven/Gradle.
• Experience with BDD frameworks (Cucumber preferred).
• Experience working with Git, Jenkins, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Experience testing microservices and distributed systems.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with UI automation tools (Selenium, Cypress) is a plus.
• Knowledge of performance testing tools (JMeter, Gatling).
• Experience with cloud environments (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Banking/Financial services domain experience preferred.
• Exposure to containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.
