SAP Finance and Controlling (FICO) Consultant

Location: Boston, MA (Onsite)

Client Requirement:
The client is based in Boston. The consultant must either be located in Boston or willing to travel to Boston on a weekly basis.

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced SAP FICO Consultant with 15+ years of hands-on configuration experience. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in SAP Finance processes, strong integration knowledge, and proven leadership in cross-functional global projects.

Technical Expertise

• 15+ years of SAP FICO experience with strong hands-on configuration expertise.
• Strong expertise in at least three of the following areas:
  • New GL, Document Splitting, Parallel Ledgers
  • FSCM (Credit, Collections, Dispute Management)
  • Asset Accounting (including S/4HANA Universal Asset Management)
  • Product Costing & Material Ledger
  • COPA (Profitability Analysis)
  • Group Reporting, RAR (Revenue Accounting & Reporting), and MBC
• Solid understanding of integration with SAP SD, MM, PP, and PS modules.
• Experience with:
  • S/4HANA Finance
  • Universal Journal
  • Fiori Apps
  • Central Finance (Highly desirable)

Business & Functional Skills

Strong understanding of end-to-end finance processes, including:

• Record-to-Report (R2R)
• Procure-to-Pay (P2P)
• Order-to-Cash (O2C)
• Cost accounting, budgeting & forecasting
• Ability to translate business requirements into system design with minimal supervision.

Soft Skills

• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and presentation skills.
• Ability to influence decisions across both business and IT teams.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
• Proven leadership experience in cross-functional and global projects.
