Job Title: BTP Security Architect
Location: Washington DC Area (Hybrid – 2–3 Days Onsite)


 

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced BTP Security Architect to support a Federal Client engagement in the DC Area. Candidate should have strong expertise in SAP BTP security architecture, cloud security frameworks, and federal compliance standards. This role requires deep technical knowledge along with strong communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional federal teams.

Security Plus certification or any relevant security certification is highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement SAP BTP Security Architecture aligned with federal security standards.
• Architect identity and access management (IAM) solutions within SAP BTP environment.
• Configure authentication, authorization, SSO, and role-based access controls.
• Integrate SAP BTP with enterprise security systems including Azure AD / Active Directory.
• Ensure compliance with Federal security frameworks such as NIST, FISMA, and FedRAMP.
• Conduct security risk assessments and vulnerability analysis.
• Define security policies, governance standards, and best practices.
• Collaborate with DevOps, Infrastructure, and Application teams to ensure secure deployments.
• Support audit preparation and security documentation for federal compliance.

Required Skills & Experience

• 8+ years of overall IT experience.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience in SAP BTP Security Architecture.
• Strong understanding of SAP BTP services (IAS, IPS, XSUAA, Role Collections).
• Experience with OAuth2, SAML, JWT, and API security.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS / Azure / GCP.
• Experience working with Federal clients or Government projects.
• Strong knowledge of Zero Trust architecture principles.
• Excellent documentation and communication skills.

Certifications (Preferred)

• Security+ Certification (Highly Preferred)
• SAP BTP Security Certification
• CISSP or any equivalent cloud security certification

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field.
