Platform Engineer

Role : Platform Engineer (with AWS Agentic AI exp.)
Location: US Remote

The Lead AWS Agentic AI Platform Engineer will serve as the onsite technical authority for configuring and enabling an existing Agentic AI platform built on Amazon Bedrock AgentCore. The role focuses on platform governance, design oversight, and use-case enablement, ensuring that AgentCore-based agents can be securely and repeatedly configured for multiple enterprise use cases using Terraform-driven infrastructure patterns. 
This is a hands-on technical leadership role, acting as the bridge between client stakeholders and offshore engineering teams.

Required Skills & Experience 
8–12+ years of cloud / platform engineering experience 
Deep hands-on Terraform expertise on AWS 
Strong experience with: 
Amazon Bedrock AgentCore 
IAM, VPC, security architecture 
Lambda, EKS, Step Functions 
Proven experience designing shared platforms supporting multiple AI use cases 
Strong stakeholder communication and technical decision-making skills 

Nice to Have 
Experience supporting GenAI platforms in regulated environments 
Exposure to RAG architectures integrated with AgentCore 

Key Responsibilities 
Own the AgentCore platform enablement strategy for onboarding new agentic AI use cases 
Define Terraform standards, reusable modules, and environment blueprints for AgentCore workloads 
Translate business and agent requirements into policy-driven AgentCore configurations 
Provide architectural guidance for:
AgentCore lifecycle management 
Tool invocation and routing 
Runtime selection (Lambda vs EKS) 
Review and approve Terraform code and platform changes delivered by offshore teams 
Ensure alignment with enterprise security, governance, and cost controls 
Act as design authority for AgentCore-based agent configurations and platform extensions 
Collaborate with client architects, security teams, and AI engineering teams
