Job Description

The Applications Architect will design, develop, and support Oracle-based financial applications and integrations

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain Oracle Forms and Oracle APEX applications.
  • Develop and maintain PL/SQL scripts, stored procedures, triggers, and database packages.
  • Support and maintain Oracle database schemas, objects, and performance tuning.
  • Configure and manage Oracle Fusion Middleware components (WebLogic Server, Oracle HTTP Server).
  • Design and support data integrations and ETL processes, including data extraction, transformation, validation, and loading.
  • Support integrations with Florida PALM and FLAIR systems.
  • Implement data quality checks, error handling, and monitoring for ETL processes.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 8+ years of application development using Oracle Forms, Oracle APEX, and PL/SQL.
  • Strong experience with Oracle Database development, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.
  • Proficiency in Oracle Fusion Middleware (WebLogic Server, Oracle HTTP Server).
  • Experience integrating applications with enterprise financial systems such as Florida PALM and FLAIR.
  • Experience with ETL processes and data integration between internal systems, external systems, APIs, and cloud services.
  • Demonstrated experience ensuring PCI compliance in application development.
  • Knowledge of State of Florida accounting practices (technical implementation).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with AIMS, FIS, and ROC applications.
  • Experience with Oracle REST Data Services (ORDS).
  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
  • Experience with version control systems and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Knowledge of application and data security best practices.
  • Experience in government or public sector environments.
  • CJIS Certification.
  • Completion of ethics, security awareness, and confidentiality requirements.
