Role Overview

The Operations Cloud / DevOps Engineer will provide strategic and hands-on expertise to support cloud and infrastructure modernization, including on-prem and AWS to Azure migrations. The role spans solution visioning, technical implementation, and stakeholder collaboration, with strong emphasis on cloud security, identity, networking, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) across Azure and AWS environments.

Key Responsibilities

· Provide strategic guidance and hands-on execution for on-prem and AWS to Azure migration initiatives.

· Define solution vision and outcome-focused cloud strategies, supporting modernization initiatives.

· Execute cloud buildouts, migrations, and operational support activities.

· Assist in converting .NET applications from Kerberos authentication to modern authentication mechanisms.

· Capture, define, and implement network and firewall requirements.

· Design, implement, and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions.

· Configure, develop, and manage cloud security policies and frameworks, including FBI CJIS and Minnesota State policies.

· Implement and manage cloud networking, including:

o Subnet provisioning

o DNS management

o Firewall and WAF configuration

o Network peering and routing

o Load balancers

o IPS

o Private connectivity between on-prem and cloud (e.g., ExpressRoute, Direct Connect)

· Implement cloud identity and access management, including:

o Azure AD / Entra ID

o RBAC role assignments

o Identity federation

· Integrate IaC and automation tools for provisioning, configuration management, and operations across Azure and AWS.

· Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

· Build strong relationships with team members and stakeholders.

· Provide knowledge transfer and operational documentation.
