Mainframe Developer

We are looking for a Senior Mainframe Developer with strong hands-on experience in COBOL, JCL, CICS, and DB2, along with the ability to develop Python components. The ideal candidate will be involved in end-to-end software development activities and collaborate with global teams across the US (NY) and India.
Key Responsibilities
Design, code, test, and implement enhancements and changes to mainframe applications
Participate in all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
Develop and integrate Python components alongside mainframe systems
Collaborate in technical, architectural, and design discussions with cross-functional teams
Work closely with onshore (NY) and offshore (India) team members in a global virtual team environment
Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize mainframe applications for performance and stability
Ensure adherence to coding standards, best practices, and documentation guidelines
Essential Skills
Strong hands-on experience with:
Enterprise COBOL
JCL
CICS
DB2 (Application Development)
Experience on IBM System Z (Mainframe) environment
Ability to design and develop Python components
Strong understanding of batch and online mainframe processing
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Flexible, highly adaptable, and a strong team player
Desirable Skills
Exposure to modernizing legacy mainframe applications
Experience working in distributed/global teams
Understanding of integration between mainframe and non-mainframe systems
