Role Description
Required Experience & Technical Skills
Minimum 8+ years of experience with:
z/DB2
IMS DBDC
ADABAS
Proficiency with replication software such as:
IIDR – IBM InfoSphere Data Replication Suite
Strong understanding of:
zConnect Enterprise Edition (zCEE) API framework
Expertise in:
IBM DB2 database administration on z/OS mainframe platforms
In-depth knowledge of:
SQL
DB2 partitioning and indexing
Data sharing concepts
Performance tuning techniques
Experience with:
Mainframe operating system concepts
Job Control Language (JCL)
Familiarity with:
Data security best practices
Compliance regulations
Ability to:
Troubleshoot and resolve complex database-related issues
Strong experience in:
Database backup management
Recovery procedures
Disaster recovery planning

Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of:
IBM DB2
IMS DBDC
ADABAS database products
Familiarity with:
Service level management
Change management
Incident resolution processes
Experience working with:
External vendors
Software upgrades and maintenance

Education & Certifications
Bachelor’s degree in:
Computer Science
Information Technology
Related field
(or equivalent experience)
Relevant certifications in:
DB2 or related database technologies (preferred)
