JIRA Support Engineer
Job Description
🛠Key Responsibilities
Administer and configure Jira environments (Cloud/On-Premise)
Implement and manage Jira workflows, schemes, and permissions
Automate tasks using Jira Automation, ScriptRunner, or other tools
Support Jira users, troubleshoot issues, and optimize workflows
Collaborate with teams to map business processes to Jira configurations
Assist with Post-Migration support and ensure smooth transitions
Documentation of processes, issues, and resolutions
Provide training and guidance to users on Jira best practices
🧠Required Skills
Hands-on experience with Jira administration (3–5 years preferred)
Experience with Jira automation tools like Automation for Jira, ScriptRunner, etc.
Strong understanding of Jira workflows, permissions, and configurations
Knowledge of scripting languages like Groovy, JavaScript, or Python is a plus
Basic knowledge of Confluence integration preferred
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and documentation skills

Experience Level: Senior-level (8+ years)
Contractors with hands-on experience in Jira/Confluence are highly preferred
Candidates should be strong in Jira, from basics to advanced levels
Post-migration support experience is a plus
