Description 

The Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Specialist works on desktop, server and mobile GIS applications and workflows.

Duties 

• Assist with developing, testing, implementing and maintaining desktop, server and mobile GIS applications and workflows
• Document spatial workflows, procedures, and applications
• Assist with the design, construction, management, and documentation of GIS datasets
• Assist with management of IT infrastructure that supports GIS platform
• Assist with mapping or analysis needs
• Respond to GIS service desk tickets
• Support NY State emergency response efforts.

Mandatory Requirements 

• Experience (14+ Years)
• Works in the field of Information Technology, experienced in the usage and support of a collection of development platforms, technical architectures or business applications and products that run on those platforms - beyond that of a Programmer.

Requirements 

• This is an 100% Onsite.
• 84 months of experience Developing, implementing, testing, maintaining and enhancing new and existing geospatial applications from the Esri GIS server platforms that support visualization, analysis, mobile, and reporting solutions.
• 24 months of experience Designing, installing, managing and administer multi-tier ArcGIS Enterprise environments (including ArcGIS Portal, ArcGIS Server, ArcGIS Hosting and ArcGIS Data Store).
• 24 months experience developing and supporting service-based geoprocessing interfaces between Esri GIS environments and other applications.
• 60 months experience managing spatial data and developing workflows and applications from Esri enterprise spatial databases.
• 12 months experience Linear Referencing practices and concepts as they relate to transportation applications.
