DevOps Engineer

Job Title: Sr. DevOps Engineer / Site Reliability Engineer (SRE)

Client: United Airlines

Location: Chicago, IL – Hybrid (3 Days/Week Onsite)

Preference: Local candidates preferred

Rate: $/hr (C2H)

Required Experience:

12+ years of experience in SRE / DevOps / Cloud Engineering

Strong expertise in AWS core services (EC2, ECS/EKS, Lambda, S3, VPC, RDS, IAM, CloudFront, etc.)

Hands-on experience with Terraform, Ansible, or other Infrastructure as Code tools

Strong scripting skills (Python, Go, Shell)

Deep knowledge of Linux systems & Networking

Experience with Kubernetes & Containerization

Nice to Have:

Experience with Service Mesh (Istio, AWS App Mesh)

Familiarity with AWS Well-Architected Framework

Experience building self-healing systems & automated remediation

Background in Security, Compliance, Multi-account / Multi-region AWS architectures
