Location: Berkeley Heights, NJ / Carol Springs, FL (Onsite/Hybrid)

Rate: $70/hr on C2C (MAX)

We are seeking a hands-on Data Architect to define and enforce enterprise data strategy across cloud and on-prem environments. You will establish robust governance, drive reuse, and ensure a single source of truth across the financial data landscape.

What You Will Build:
Architect high-performance Operational Data Stores and near real-time Data Warehouses using Kimball and Inmon methodologies.
Design ER, Logical, Physical, and Conceptual data models.
Establish governance standards, preserve data lineage, and manage an evergreen Data Catalogue (Alation/Collibra a plus).
Lead modeling sessions with Business, IT, and BI stakeholders to translate requirements into prototypes.

Technical Must-Haves:
Modeling: 15+ years hands-on with Erwin.
Databases: Expert SQL, performance tuning in MongoDB, Oracle EXADATA, and Snowflake (pipelines, stored procs, data shares).
Methodologies: Event Streaming, Domain Driven Design (DDD) , Microservices, Bounded Contexts, and Data Mesh.
Data Analysis: 10+ years in Financial Services (account, card, payment, digital processing). Proficient in Excel macros, Splunk, and reverse/forward engineering.
Automation: Strong Python scripting for ingestion, monitoring, and governance.
ETL & BI: Experience with Matillion, SnapLogic, or DBT is nice to have. Proficient in Power BI and PowerPoint.

Nice to Have:
Experience with BIAN, IBM Banking Model, or ISO20022.

Qualifications:
15+ years of total experience in data architecture.
Exceptional communication skills; able to navigate complex, matrixed environments.
Ability to mentor junior staff and enforce best practices.
