Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) Engineer to design, deploy, and support enterprise virtual desktop environments on Azure. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Azure infrastructure, Windows virtual desktop technologies, and end-user computing solutions to deliver secure, scalable, and high-performing virtual desktop environments.

Primary Cloud Platform: Microsoft Azure

Key Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and manage Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) environments.
• Configure and maintain host pools, session hosts, application groups, and workspaces.
• Implement FSLogix profiles and optimize user experience and performance.
• Manage Windows 10/11 Enterprise multi-session and Windows Server environments.
• Configure and maintain Azure networking for AVD (VNet, VPN, NSG, load balancing).
• Implement security best practices including RBAC, MFA, Conditional Access, and endpoint security.
• Monitor and troubleshoot AVD performance, connectivity, and user issues.
• Automate deployments using PowerShell, ARM templates, Bicep, or Terraform.
• Perform patching, updates, and image management for virtual desktops.
• Optimize cost, performance, and resource utilization in Azure.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, security, and application teams for seamless delivery.
• Provide documentation and operational support for production environments.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 5–10 years of IT infrastructure experience with strong Azure experience.
• Hands-on experience with Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) deployment and administration.
• Strong experience with Windows Server and Windows 10/11 enterprise environments.
• Experience with FSLogix profile containers and user profile management.
• Strong knowledge of Azure networking and identity (Azure AD/Entra ID).
• Scripting and automation using PowerShell.
• Experience with Azure monitoring tools and troubleshooting performance issues.
• Knowledge of backup, disaster recovery, and high availability solutions.
• Understanding of endpoint management (Intune/MEM).
