Position Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented, self-motivated Automation Tester to join our team, focusing on Salesforce testing using the Copado (COPAD) DevOps platform. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality, reliability, and functionality of complex applications for a public sector client in Illinois. The ideal candidate will design, implement, and maintain automated test scripts within a Copado-driven CI/CD environment, supporting both web-based UI and API functional/regression testing.

Key Responsibilities

• Copado Automation: Design, develop, and maintain robust automated test scripts using Copado Robotic Testing (CRT) or Selenium, specifically within the Copado DevOps platform.
• Framework Development: Build and maintain scalable, reusable automation test frameworks.
• Regression Testing: Execute automated regression test suites to ensure high-quality software releases, ensuring existing functionalities are not impacted by new code changes.
• Collaboration: Work closely with developers, business analysts, and QA analysts to understand requirements and convert them into automated test cases.
• Defect Management: Identify, log, and track bugs, working with the development team to resolve them within a fast-paced Agile/Scrum environment.
• CI/CD Integration: Integrate automated test suites into Copado/Jenkins CI/CD pipelines.
• Documentation: Maintain comprehensive, up-to-date test documentation, including test plans and automation results.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Experience: 3+ years of experience in software testing with a strong focus on test automation.
• Tools: Proven experience with Copado (COPAD), Selenium WebDriver, or other Salesforce-compatible automation tools (e.g., Cucumber, Provar).
• Languages: Strong proficiency in scripting languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScript.
• Backend Testing: Experience with API testing using tools like Postman or REST-assured.
• Environment: Experience with version control systems (Git) and CI/CD tools (Copado, Jenkins).
• Documentation: Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to create clear, concise test reports.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with Public Sector or Government clients in Illinois.
• Salesforce certification or deep knowledge of Salesforce CRM functional testing.
• Certified Software Test Engineer (CSTE) or ISTQB certification.
• Knowledge of accessibility testing (Section 508 compliance).
