Automation Lead Engineer

Job Title: Automation Lead Engineer
Location: Palo Alto, CA (4 Days Onsite, 1 Day Remote)
Duration: 12+ Months Contract
Employment Type: W2

We are seeking a highly experienced Automation Lead Engineer to design and build scalable test automation infrastructure for next-generation vehicle programs.

Key Requirements:

• 5–10 years of experience in test automation and infrastructure
• Strong Python programming skills (Coding assessment required)
• Advanced experience with Pytest (custom hooks, configuration, framework development)
• Experience building automation frameworks from scratch
• Hands-on experience with Jenkins and TestRail
• Experience in both Software and Hardware testing environments
• Leadership experience mentoring engineers
• Ability to work onsite in Palo Alto (4 days/week mandatory)

Nice to Have:

• Automotive domain experience
• Virtualization (ESXi, Proxmox)
• Bazel, Jama
• CI/CD pipeline integration experience

Candidates will go through a technical screening including Python coding assessment.
