Android Architect

• Evaluate and recommend new tools, libraries, and technologies
• Review code, perform architectural assessments, and ensure quality standards
• Oversee performance, security, and reliability of Android applications
• Support CI/CD pipelines and release processes

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• 10+ years of software development experience, including 5+ years in Android development
• Strong expertise in Kotlin (and Java) for Android development
• Deep understanding of Android architecture components (ViewModel, LiveData, Room, WorkManager)
• Hands-on experience with MVVM, Clean Architecture, and modular app design
• Experience with Jetpack Compose and traditional Android UI frameworks
• Strong knowledge of RESTful APIs, networking, and data persistence
• Experience with Android performance tuning, security, and app optimization
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience designing enterprise-scale or consumer-facing Android applications
• Knowledge of multi-module builds, Gradle optimization, and dependency management
• Experience with CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Bitrise, etc.)
• Familiarity with mobile security best practices and compliance standards
• Experience with cross-platform integrations or backend-for-frontend (BFF) patterns
