Location: Hybrid – Office once per week (approved locations: USA -> Tampa, Charlotte, New York, New Jersey; Canada -> Mississauga)
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced AEM Technical Lead/Architect to drive the development, architecture, and optimization of digital content sites and customer experiences. The role requires deep expertise in the Adobe Experience Manager ecosystem, a strong Java/J2EE background, front-end proficiency, and experience delivering large-scale, content-rich corporate/marketing websites (insurance domain experience is a plus). The architect will translate business requirements into technical specifications, lead developers and QA, define governance and best practices, and ensure scalable, secure, high-performance solutions.

• AEM Solution Leadership & Architecture: Serve as primary technical expert for AEM-based content sites; design and implement scalable, high-performance AEM solutions; define deployment, governance, and architectural standards; drive enhancements to AEM tech stack and workflows; ensure performance, scalability, and security; integrate with policy administration systems, CRM, and analytics tools.
• Technical Team Leadership & Mentorship: Lead and mentor AEM developers and QA engineers; enforce coding standards and code reviews; promote reusable component design and high code quality; collaborate with global and cross-functional teams (may require off-hours communication).
• Front-End & Digital Experience Optimization: Maintain hands-on front-end skills (HTML5, CSS3/Sass/Less, JavaScript); translate Figma designs into AEM components; implement analytics, A/B testing, personalization, SEO, and accessibility (WCAG) best practices.
• Business Alignment & Global Collaboration: Translate complex business requirements into detailed technical plans; collaborate with marketing, product, design, and development teams; support presales and solutioning with AEM strategies and estimations.
• Content & Workflow Management: Oversee authoring and publishing processes in AEM; automate editorial workflows; customize AEM authoring interfaces for editorial productivity; manage digital assets and metadata in AEM DAM.
• 8+ years web development experience, with at least 5+ years focused on Adobe Experience Manager (AEM).
• Deep AEM expertise: components, templates, OSGi services, Sightly/HTL, JCR, AEM administration (Sites, Assets, Forms).
• Proven experience architecting and implementing large-scale, content-rich AEM solutions (corporate/marketing/insurance sites preferred).
• Performance optimization for AEM: caching strategies, dispatcher configuration, front-end performance tuning.
• Proficiency in Java, J2EE and strong hands-on experience with AEM integrations (RESTful APIs, SOAP, third-party systems).
• Front-end skills: HTML5, CSS3 (Sass/Less), JavaScript. Experience with React, Angular, or Vue.js is a plus.
• Familiarity with DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud hosting models for AEM.
• Experience with web analytics (Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics), A/B testing, personalization engines, SEO, and accessibility (WCAG).
• Experience establishing coding standards, conducting code reviews, and implementing CI/CD for AEM projects.
• Experience with design tools like Figma and translating designs into AEM implementations.
